A Window of Opportunity Opens
Models are pinging a long-range snow system for the 10-14th June and it’s not all ridgy.
If you’ve been following The Snowstack’s recent posts you’ll know that this window has been presenting for the last week. A strong polar node (a.k.a. long wave trough) is moving through our longitude with a delayed arrival of ~10th June.
After peaking in southwest WA next weekend, long-range models point in reasonable agreement to this node has linkages to stratosphere, SAM and the MJO.
