We’re seeing a big upswing in the models over the last 24 hours. It’s got all the makings of an ‘opening weekend system of the decade’.

As expected, light snow fell across the Aus resorts last night (Tuesday evening) resulting in 2-3 cm of cover.

Kicking off late Friday night, we see the procession of two fronts. The first front is expected around midnight on Saturday morning.

Currently, Saturday is modelled to offer 10-15cm in the major resorts areas. Delivering snow down to ~1100m.
