Japan

The East Asian Monsoon (EAM) spawns a developing low in the Sea of Japan over the next 4-5 days, drawing in both moisture and cold air out of the Asian continent.

As the rear-flanking north westerlies kick in, it results in some much-needed snow depth totals, particularly for higher elevations in the Nagano prefecture.
